Serbian director Kusturica to shoot new film in Sochi, future films at other Russian sites

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Serbian film director and musician Emir Kusturica said in an interview with TASS that he has selected Sochi as the site for shooting his new film, which is to be titled "The Engineer of Easy Walks."
"I plan to shoot my next film in the south, in Sochi. It will be a film called ‘The Engineer of Easy Walks,’" he said.
According to Kusturica, the film tells the story of a young man who works as a chimney sweep but is simultaneously engaged in "light walking engineering," meaning he goes for walks with those who need company.
"Wherever you want to go, he will go with you, because he is just a good person. But there is a problem: he falls in love with a beautiful young girl who is in trouble. She has a troubled father <...>. He lost all his money, even those funds that were gathered for the sick brother of our engineer's beloved. The money was intended to save the boy. Therefore, in order to pay the doctors, this young woman decides to earn the money herself by becoming a prostitute. She goes to St. Petersburg, after which the protagonist loses track of her. Then he also moves to St. Petersburg and becomes a pizza delivery man in order to survive. And, everything else you will see already in the film," he said.
According to the film director, he also plans to shoot films in Kazan, St. Petersburg and Siberia.
